Ordinary files have a tooth angle that lets them glide moderately when they contact a wide area, but in deburring the contact area is small, so they slip too much. VARIT has a tooth angle optimized so it deburrs without slipping even on a narrow contact surface. The taper used for flattening is unnecessary for deburring, so a straight profile is used, making deburring even easier. This is the 5-piece die sinker file size, the most common size, easy to handle and comfortable in the hand. • The sharpest-cutting file. A special chemical treatment gives the teeth an acute edge, so it cuts as if gripping the workpiece.
