• A square-edged carving chisel (burin) with a 2 mm cutting edge, used for woodblock printing and wood carving.
• The blade is made of hardened high-speed steel, designed to cut the surface of a wood block.
• The handle is made of cherry (sakura) wood.
• Compared with a triangular V-gouge, the square burin edge is thinner and sharper, producing a distinct cut line.
