Hand-forged Japanese santoku knife from Hozan Tomoe, with a Kurouchi (black-finished) blade whose black oxide scale and uneven hammered texture make every piece one of a kind. The core is Shirogami #2 (White Steel No.2) in a warikomi three-layer construction, forged by the Hinoura blade workshop for excellent sharpness and edge retention. The handle, crafted by Wasami, pairs figured olive wood with cast Japanese resin - light, strong, comfortable to grip, and unique to each knife. Blade length 165 mm. Product number IK-03165.
